Dr. Robert Sonn is a New York native and graduated from Cornell University. He went on to complete his education at Stony Brook Dental School. From there, he completed a two-year program to become specialized in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center. These years spent helping children were crucial for him to learn to meet the needs of every child.
Dr. Sonn lives in the Upper East Side, Manhattan with his wife Anna and four children. He enjoys the outdoors especially hiking and golfing. He often visits central park, the Met and the Museum of Natural History.
Dr. Peter H. Chen - Orthodontic Specialist
Peter H. Chen DDS, MBA, DMSc is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with an outstanding academic resume and excellent clinical experience. He is a graduate of Harvard University, where he completed a rigorous four-year residency program in orthodontics. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Chen also conducted numerous research projects, and concurrently received his Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree from Harvard. In recognition of his work, Dr. Chen was awarded the prestigious Harvard Presidential Scholar Award.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Chen is a Clinical Instructor of Orthodontics at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he teaches hospital residents and treats orthodontic and cleft lip/palate patients in the faculty practice. Dr. Misoo Cho - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Misoo Cho is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist practicing in New York City.
From her own childhood, Dr. Cho understands the anxiety a child can feel when visiting the dentist. Going to the dentist should be fun and stress-free, and Dr. Cho’s years of dedicated and intensive training across pediatrics and special needs patients enables her to create positive dental experiences for the family with a caring and conservative approach.
Dr. Cho was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Cell Biology. Dr. Cho earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. Residency brought Dr. Cho to New York City, where she completed two years of General Practice Residency with training in treating special needs patients at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and Interfaith Medical Center. Her passion for working with children and special needs patients led her to complete her training in Pediatric Dental Residency at Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Cho lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters. When not at Smile Up, she enjoys practicing pilates, baking fun desserts, and spending time with her kids.

Following this, Dr. Lee pursued three years of specialized training in orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh and obtained Master of Dental Science degree (MDS).

Amazing with children! Such an upscale office. My son was a bit hesitant with biting down for wing x-rays. We were brought to another area of the office where my son had a 360 degree x-ray which was so awesome to him!
