At Smile Up Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, we want all of our patients to be informed when they visit us to avoid confusion and ensure that they feel welcomed. Here are a few of our office policies.
APPOINTMENT POLICY
We understand that our patients are busy with jobs, kids, and plenty of other activities besides their dental appointment. We try to accommodate all of our patients to the best of our ability and to provide a great experience to each one. This includes scheduling appointment times that suit not only the patient’s schedule but their age. For example, we highly recommend that children who have extensive dental needs and children under the age of four be seen in the mornings. They are most alert and feel fresh at this time, which will allow them to have a better visit with us.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you let us know at least 48 hours in advance. We understand that situations come up unexpectedly, and emergencies can occur, so we allow two missed appointments or cancellations without this advance notice. However, after these two missed appointments, we reserve the right not to schedule any subsequent appointments. It is important to keep to your appointment time to cut down on waiting time (for both you and other patients). Any patients who arrive late for their appointment may be asked to reschedule.
INSURANCE POLICY
We realize that insurance can be a very confusing topic. We are experienced in working with many insurance carriers and will be happy to assist you in understanding and maximizing your benefits. We ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your insurance information, including changes in policy name or change of employment. As a courtesy to all our patients, we will file and can track claims electronically on your behalf.
We strive to provide accurate estimates of treatment based on the information given to us from your insurance company. Please note that these estimates are quotes we receive from the insurance company and are not a guarantee of payment. If you have any questions regarding payment or insurance, please feel free to contact us.
FINANCIAL POLICY
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
